You are a makeup icon to me. What are your five tips to being a successful make up artist?

Thank you, Cassandra...I am very humbled! To become a successful makeup artist entails a whole lot and I could think of a million things to say here. Here are five tips to help:* Be passionate about what you do because it shows in your work.

* Figure out what area of work you like best (fashion, celeb, editorial, etc) and try to focus on that.

* Study and research art and fashion - both past and present. It's important to know and be able to execute period looks, etc.

* Go with a great agent that you like and that believes in you and your work.

* Always stay positive and have a good attitude while working.
